#MotivationalMonday/#MoveItMonday

From Women's Running

I'm going to be honest.  I have no clue who Jim Rohn is.  But I like him.  He hit the nail on the head with this quote.  I feel like he was talking about ME in this quote.  Why is it so hard to just say, "I didn't run because I didn't feel like it."?  Instead I come up with all sorts of excuses.  Here are several excuses from this week with only two of them being truly legitimate:
1.  I'm tired.
2.  It was raining.
3.  I had to work.
4.  Lyla has the flu and I wanted to be there for her when she woke up.
5.  I've had a sore ankle ever since the trail race.

Can you guess which excuses were the legitimate excuses?  Yeah, my kids always come first.  It did cost me my long run for the week, but yesterday morning with the girls before work was worth it.  And the ankle is still a little sore but I think it will make it until my next race.

No.More.Excuses.

If you don't want to do it, be honest about it.

This circuit workout is from one of MommiesRun's Facebook friends, Catherine.  I asked for workout suggestions today and she posted this workout from her bootcamp instructor.  I don't have a jump rope so I'll have to get creative!  Thank you so much Catherine!

Do you know who Jim Rohn is?

What is your favorite motivational quote?

  1. Wait- "I'm tired" isn't a valid excuse ;)

Thanks for the at-home workout circuit. It looks like a good one!

  2. I do not know who he is but I sure love that quote of his! I haven't skipped runs entirely but I've slid into this procrastinating thing lately that is driving me batty!
