I'm kind of digging this whole Weekend Update link up with Tara from Running 'N' Reading. It allows my writer's block to take a break and just tell you guys about all the fun stuff I did the past few days. A lot of people do cooler stuff than me, so make sure and check out the other blogs that link up!
My Friday started out pretty awesome since I got to run 12 miles with Debi after I took the kids to school. We stuck around Collierville and hit up our favorite trail which had been extended. It was so beautiful out there and the trail was super soft from recent rain. It felt like we were running on marshmallows.
We are so lucky to have this gorgeous trail basically in our backyard. I need to run trails more. There is nothing more peaceful. As we headed around the lake we also saw a few friends:
Later that night we decided to hit up the new local growler place, On Tap Growlers. This is the first store like that here in town and it just opened so it was super exciting to check it out. We got two 32 ounce growlers to try out some different beers. I picked a Nashville brew called Southern Wit and it was fantastic. It was so smooth and had a great flavor.
I worked this weekend so my Saturday and Sunday were filled with drugs. The legal ones. Before I left for work on Saturday, Belle expressed her disapproval.
I mean, just bless her. Work was pretty busy, but I saved lives like a champ. When I came home, I felt like I was in a scene from Friends:
I got in a quick run just to test out my new Mizuno Wave Hitogami 2. It was seriously a love fest. I'll be reviewing them and more gear that they graciously sent me soon but please just check out these beauties:
I was back to work on Sunday and it was so busy as everyone was getting ready for the Super Bowl. I realized that I might have a drinking problem at one point during the day.
I made it home for half time where I got to see dancing sharks and palm trees, which reminded me of Spring Break my sophomore year in college. I'm still wondering if that was alcohol induced or not. Like so many women, I fell in love with the #LikeAGirl commercial, but as a pharmacist and Breaking Bad fan, this one was pretty amazing to me.
And that was my super awesome weekend! Now tell me...
