Have you ever read a blog that makes you feel crappy about yourself? Well, this isn't that type of blog. I've never hid the fact that I'm unorganized or that I struggle with untimely laziness. If you have the same affliction, you've come to the right place, because Sunday's are now all about the GYST:
Every Sunday (haha ambitious), I'll be sharing my attempts to get my shit together little by little. I'll be sharing a daily cleaning list, a weekly meal plan, and my workout plan for the week.
My hope is that this will become a habit. Those of you who have your shit more together than me can drop your own nuggets of wisdom on the class. I promise to share my successes and failures, because otherwise what's the point?! I'd love to eventually turn this into a link up, so if you are interested, please let me know. I find the encouragement of other people is integral to my success!
I got this printable here, and I downloaded it to my laptop so it will be easy to print it out every week. I love to-do lists and I get a good thrill out of checking things off, so this printable is perfect for me! As you can see, the Jones family produces a lot of laundry. I definitely find that doing a load every day makes life easier. My problem is putting it away. I will be working on convincing myself that laundry doesn't just involve putting clothes in the washer! I don't have vacuuming on the list because that's Josh's territory (thankfully), and he does this often because our dogs shed. A lot.
This is another printable that I love and I downloaded it from here. I love how it allows to me list what I need from the store underneath the meal! Because my pharmacy is in a grocery store, it's pretty easy for me to just grab what we need for dinner after work. However, I prefer to do a big shopping once a week if possible because when the pharmacy closes, I want out of there! I didn't shop today though because my kids were possessed by the devil. And that's a whole other blog post.
I've been feeling under the weather this weekend, so I'm hoping to get back to my workouts this week. Here is my plan for the week:
Monday: 6-7 miles + Jasyoga
Tuesday: 4 miles + Piyo
Wednesday: 2 mile w/u + 4x hills + 2 mile c/d + Jasyoga
Thursday: 1 mile speed test (last week came in at 8:01) + Piyo
Friday: 3 miles + Piyo
Saturday: 35 min tempo (8:30 pace)
Sunday: 6 miles + Jasyoga
And that my friends is my first attempt at Getting My Shit Together. If you have any pointers for me, feel free to leave them in the comments. If you want to get more personal, email me at MommiesRun@gmail.com.
Do you consider yourself to be organized?
Do you prefer a written to-do list or one on your phone?
