Friday Five: 5 Brands I Love

Today I'll be linking up with Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC, Cynthia from You Signed Up For What?, and Mar from Mar On The Run for their Friday Five Link up! Every Friday, these lovely ladies host a huge link-up with a different theme.  It's a perfect link-up for a lazy blogger like me.

The theme for today is Brands I love.  This is easy.  I can do this.  But it would be the same brands I always talk about:  Oiselle, Mizuno, Nuun, Pro Compression, and Runningluv.  So I decided to change it up and talk about some brands that I don't mention as often as I should.

Picky Bars

I basically eat one of these magical bars every morning for breakfast.  I eat them before long runs and I eat them before races.  They are the perfect fuel source for me, and I trust what I'm putting in my body when I eat one. These babies are the brain child of Lauren Fleshman, Jesse Thomas, and Steph Bruce, professional runners/triathlete that are badasses in their sports. Besides tasting amazing, their social media is always supportive of athletes and they even put amateurs on their packaging (including my friend Jenn!).  I am a member of the Picky Club, meaning I get a shipment every month, and delivery day is one of my favorite days of the month!

Pura Vida

I wear these bracelets every single day.  I wear them to run, I wear them in the shower, I wear them to work, and I even wear them for fancier occasions.  Even Lexi and Lyla wear them.  I love looking down and seeing a party on my wrist while I am running thanks to my bright colors.  Besides being super inexpensive, this company does a lot of good by creating jobs for people in Costa Rica. They also have several charity bracelets that when bought, donate money towards different funds.  Plus, their instagram is full of beautiful photos!  {affiliate link:  I get credit if you purchase, but you get 50% off!}

Road ID

This is another piece of wrist candy that I wear every day, no matter the occasion.  Having my emergency information on me at all times is a nice piece of mind.  Accidents can happen any where, not just while running, so I like to always have it on.  Another reason why I love Road ID is because of their stellar customer service.  The writing on my original badge had kind of smudged off, and when I contacted Road ID about it, they instantly shipped me a new one at no charge.

This one is kind of new one for me, but I am obsessed.  For $4.99 a month, I have access to all of the videos on Jasyoga's website, with new ones being created as I type.  This yoga is geared toward runners and athletes, and it truly has been providing me with the stretch and brain reset that I need in my life.  The social media is also on point, and Erin loves feedback about the videos!  I can't recommend this monthly subscription enough if you are looking for a supplement to running.

Dollar Shave Club

I know, random.  But it's shorts season here which means I'll be shaving almost every day.  It really pisses me off how expensive razors are, so I joined the Dollar Shave Club to save money and have razors delivered to my door.  For $6 a month I get a handle plus 4 cartridges that I can change out weekly.  There are 2 other packages, but I chose the mid range blade.  And if you have never seen the hilarious commercials, I highly recommend you check some out.  Like the original. {referal link means I get credit if you order}

So I hope you learned something new today!
