Scrubs and running clothes. That’s literally all I wear. Mainly because I’m always at work, and if I’m not, I’m running, but also because I’m 38 and comfort is the most important thing to me in fashion. So when I got the chance to review some of PrAna’s new fall line, I was so excited. I know PrAna to be an eco-friendly brand and these days I’m mainly interested in supporting brands that make a difference.
The first item I chose to review was the Uptown Pants. Oh my gosh. I probably now wear these pants twice a week (the days that I’m off from work). The comfort level is insane and they are also stylish without making me feel like I’m trying hard. I can easily take them from a Vinyasa flow to the grocery store to dinner out, and that’s important for this mom on the go.
Being that I’m new to the PrAna brand, I kind of guessed on my sizing. I decided to go with a small and this ended up being perfect for me. The elastic waist is not too tight, not too loose, and I love the fit of the pants through my legs. I also have to mention that I like that the pants don’t look baggy in my butt area which tends to be a problem for me!
As far as pricing, $89 seemed kind of steep at first to me. However, since receiving them and wearing them non-stop, I would absolutely purchase these with my own money. I have been eyeing the Black because I’m so obsessed with these pants. Hello discount code!
I also got to try the Ariel Dress and hellllllooooo cuteness. I loved the look of this dress on the website but in real life it’s even prettier. As I mentioned on Instagram, my girls loved this moisture wicking material so much that they kept rubbing their faces on it. Having a shelf bra seals the comfort deal for me. I love that I can throw this dress on without a bra and be out the door. Admittedly, I am small chested (34A-B), but I feel like there is ample room for those of you who are more gifted.
I ended up choosing a small in the Ariel Dress as well, and I’m pleased with the sizing. As I mentioned, I’m small in the boobage, so it is a little loose around my arm pits but not enough to make me wish I had gotten an extra small. I feel like the fit through my hips is perfect and I love the high neck and empire waist. This fit is flattering for all sizes in my opinion.
At $85 I’m calling this a good price. Dresses are always on the more expensive side but this one is so versatile that the cost is worth it. You can easily take this dress to a nice restaurant or an outdoor concert.
As a newbie to the PrAna brand, I have to say I’m now a fan. Besides the pieces I received, I keep browsing the website and finding other items I’d love to order and try. Thanks to my new love for yoga, I feel like I could justify it! Most importantly, I’m loving their mission to connect underserved youth with the outdoors. Like I said earlier, spending my money with a company that makes an impact is of utmost importance to me!
I’m so glad that I can share a discount code with all of you so that you can check out PrAna too! Use code FACJ15 for 15% off. And if you decide to order, please let me know what you think!
