What I Ate Wednesday #3

Peas and Crayons
I'm back with another version of WIAW, linking up with Peas and Crayons!  Before I get into what I ate, I wanted to give a shout out to Nicole @ Healthy Way To Cook.  I was surprised to find that she mentioned my WIAW from last week in her weekly round up of the best WIAW's around the blogosphere!  You can see it here:  What I Wish I Ate Wednesday.

I kind of feel like today should be more like What I DIDN'T Eat Wednesday.  It was a really busy day at work and I just did not have much time for nutrition.  I should have planned better for the day, but time got away from me this morning.  I didn't even run today!  ARGH!

I started the day with a Chai Tea Latte with soy milk from Starbucks.  It was so yummy and didn't give me the bubble guts because I remembered to get soy milk!  I had my usual breakfast of Chobani and cereal, but today I had the new Banana flavor plus my homemade granola.  Please may I have another?

For lunch I had leftover roasted veggies from Monday night.  Spaghetti squash, brussel sprouts, and broccoli were delicious but honestly not filling enough for lunch.  Duh, where's the protein?  I had grabbed a little Naked juice from home and had that for a late afternoon snack.  It gave me the boost I needed until I got home for dinner.

For dinner I had a BAT.  That would be bacon, avocado, and tomato, my friends.  Delicious!  I kind of forgot the lettuce or else it would have been a BLAT.  So much cooler, I know.  I kind of got away from the clean eating and had some Rice A Roni.  Shame on me, but it is the San Francisco Treat so it can't be that bad for me, right?

Lesson of the day people...Plan your food!  I clearly did not eat enough today.  Not enough food can be just as detrimental to your health as too much food.

What did you eat today?

Do you want to know how to make your own granola?
