I'm back for another Wednesday of Good Eats, linking up with Jenn @ Peas and Crayons. Have you ever noticed that when you're taking pictures of everything you eat in a day, you tend to eat better? I mean how embarrassing would it be if I ate junk all day and then decided to post pictures of it? In all honesty, I really don't eat a lot of junk to begin with, but today I indulged a little bit. It would have been easy to just not take pictures of it, but y'all deserve the truth.
The truth is, no one's perfect.
Somedays you just want candy. And that's ok.
This is actually an old picture but I had the same exact breakfast this morning and I liked this picture better. I'm obsessed with frozen blueberries right now and they combine beautifully with cottage cheese. Blueberries are full of antioxidants and I've been trying to include them in my diet a lot lately. They're also really good for runners to help repair our muscles due to their anti-inflammatory effects. That's a fact.
I'm pretty sure there is a lot of research out there about how good iced coffee is for us too. I'm not going to look it up right now though. Just trust me, I'm a doctor (of pharmacy). I did read something the other day about how coffee doesn't dehydrate us like once thought.
Today was kind of super food day I guess. This is another one of my killer salads. It contains kale, avocado, tuna, feta, and Greek dressing. Kale and avocado are 2 foods you'll always find on the super food lists. They also happen to be 2 ingredients in awesome salads.
Chewy Sprees. Not gonna hide them.
I felt a little guilty after the Chewy Sprees so I decided to make one of my favorite snacks to share with some of my techs/friends.
I love to dip apples in Chobani. Obviously, you can eat apples on their own, but they taste amazing dipped in a little pineapple Chobani. Jaclyn and Amy, 2 of my techs were curious about this combo so I had them try it. They both approved:
Thanks for modeling girls. Y'all are beautiful.
I picked up some pizza after work from a new pizza place in town called Ciao Baby Pizza. It is wood fired pizza and it was amazing! We got a margherita pizza and a bianca pizza. Everything tasted so fresh. I believe they get their mozzarella fresh from Italy so you know it's authentic. We'll definitely be eating there again!
