Weekly Workout Wrap Up

It's hard to believe another week has come and gone.  You know what's even crazier?  

I'm about to embark on marathon training.

I'm not going to lie, I'm terrified.  I'm scared of getting hurt again.  My runs lately have been less than stellar.  The heat and humidity have me struggling with only FOUR miles.  How am I ever going to be able to run 26.2 miles?!

I have a lot to prove, but only to myself.  I need to keep reminding myself that.  I don't need to set a time goal (although I kind of already did).  I just need to finish.  Right?

I ended up taking it pretty easy this week, knowing that my life is about to get turned upside down.  There were some missed runs, some intentional, some unintentional.  I knew it was my last week for that.  So here's what I did:

Monday:  4 miles.  These were super rough for me for some reason and seriously had me doubting myself big time.  I guess the fact that it was 93 million degrees outside didn't help.



Tuesday:  2 miles plus T25 alpha cardio.  T25 is no joke people.  I was sweating big time but it was a great workout and I look forward to incorporating it into marathon training.

Wednesday: Treadmill speed workout.  I got to watch an episode of Dexter during this so that was pretty cool!  

Thursday:  rest

Friday:  2 miles plus strides. The heat was killing me.

Saturday and Sunday:  Rest

I know, pretty pathetic.  But hopefully it'll be the rest I need to propel me into marathon training!  Here's what I have planned for this week:
