Weekly Workout Wrapup

Week 3 in marathon training had a slight cut back in mileage. I am so excited to report that I got all my runs in! I did change one 5 miler to a 3 miler due to this:


Thanks to a man on a riding lawn mower, my Nuun was wasted all over the sidewalk.  Luckily I've realized the bottle is spared and I have a cap I can use in place of the gnarled mess I was left with. Unfortunately it was just too hot that day and I couldn't justify the other 2 miles.

I've also started wondering if 5 runs per week is going to be sustainable. My only complete rest day is Thursday, which is a day I work a 12 hour shift. Not much of a rest day huh? I'd love any input y'all could give me on that!

So here's how my week turned out:

Monday: 30 minute elliptical plus strength train


Tuesday: 5 miles

Wednesday: 3 miles speed work

Thursday: rest

Friday: 3 miles


Saturday: 3 miles


Sunday: RRS second 5 miler plus one mile = 6 miles

I also tried to stretch a lot when I was home. I'm ashamed to admit I've foam rolled only once in the past 3 week. Oops.
