My #OneChange with #VegaOne

I don't care how confident you are in yourself, there's usually at least #OneChange you'd make to better yourself.  I mentioned in my running group yesterday, that the older I get, the less I care what others think (okay, so maybe I used more descriptive words).  The point is, I'm pretty happy with who I am, how I look, and where I am in life.  But that definitely does not mean that I do not have things about myself that I'd like to work on.  For example, I am chronically late.  Because of my lateness, I often find myself skipping breakfast, especially on work days.  Then before I know it, it's after noon and I've barely eaten a thing all day!  The headache sets in, and I know I'm in trouble.  I'd venture to guess that some of you are nodding your heads on that whole breakfast skipping thing.  

Am I right?

I am a working Mommy, and I need convenience without all the sugary, processed junk.

When it comes to protein shakes, I'm pretty particular.  I scour the labels to make sure there are not crazy chemical names that even my pharmacist brain can not comprehend (friendly PSA:  all those proprietary blends in other supplements are not tested by the FDA so please be careful!).  Obviously taste is important, and I want there to be some nutritional value as well.  

Well my friends, Vega One fits the bill to all my demands.  

The ingredients contain nothing that I am unfamiliar with, nor do they contain anything that I wouldn't ingest by itself.  See for yourself, looks pretty clean to me:

Looking for nutritional value?  Vega One has it all!  High protein, fiber, and probiotics for GI health are all a part of the shake.  Not to mention Omega-3's to help fight inflammation, greens, and antioxidants.  


As for the taste, the French Vanilla is pretty fabulous.  I love to throw a packet and my mixer cup in my purse on the way out the door. 

When I get to work, I simply mix the powder with about 8 ounces of Almond-Coconut Milk for a nutrient dense breakfast.  I've also mixed Vega One alone with water and it tastes pretty fantastic like that too. 


I also created a pretty awesome protein packed smoothie with my Vega One mix, and I am super excited to share the recipe with y'all!  But first a little background...as some of you may know, I live in Memphis, Tennessee, home to Graceland, the former residence of Elvis Presley.  It's pretty common knowledge that Elvis' favorite sandwich was a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich.  Well, I'm happy to present to you, the Green Elvis Smoothie:

Green Elvis Smoothie:

1 Frozen Banana
1/2 Cup Frozen Spinach
2 Tablespoonsful PB2
8-12 ounces Almond Coconut Milk (depending on desired thickness)
Dash of Cinnamon

Blend all ingredients until smooth.  Add milk as needed for desired thickness.  Enjoy!

Thanks to the convenience of Vega One, I think my #OneChange is pretty simple to achieve.  No more breakfast skipping for this Mommy.  Now, if only it could help me in getting places on time.
