While on a Run Streak...

Thank you all for the sweet comments, texts, and messages about my post yesterday.  I love that so many of you feel the same way!  

A Run Streak is not always easy.  There can be a lot of pressure, especially when you see your running improving like I have.  You want to keep going at this crazy pace because who knows, you could BQ (Boston Qualify) by the end of the year! 


Just kidding, I'm not BQing until I'm like 80 and my qualifying time is something in the 10 hour range.  But hell, at least I have a goal!

Anyway, I'm letting myself take an easy week this week.  I've had some back pain probably from sleeping too much and I just feel worn out.  So I'm listening to my body and I'm taking it easy this week.  Kind of like a cut back week while marathon training, except with way less mileage.  

Speaking of running, I put a call out yesterday to y'all on Instagram and Facebook to find out about your favorite socks.  I really like my ProCompression trainer lows but as weird as this sounds, I wish they were lower.  And then my Swiftwicks, I really love these but they've been slipping in my shoes lately and I don't like that.  The Feetures are what I'm really interested in.  I got a pair a while ago from KindRunner and I really like them.  The only thing is, I wish they had more cushioning.  I noticed on their website that they have models that have more cushioning, but $15????  Are they made of freaking gold?

Tuesday April 29th Eats:


Breakfast:  Green Smoothie with spinach, pineapple, mango, and pineapple Greek Chobani and coffee
Snack:  Half avocado with egg whites and Cholula and strawberries
Lunch:  Leftover Vegetarian tortellini soup and hummus with cucumbers, carrots, and pretzel thins, and strawberry lemonade Nuun
Dinner:  Chik Fil A Grilled chicken sandwich and fries and Diet Coke

Tuesday April 29th Run:


1 mile at 10:00 pace plus three rounds 1:00 plank/10 pushups

Why do you love your favorite sock?

Do you feel like Chick Fil A is really fast food?  I do not.  They use real chicken and they will bring you refills at your table.  It is their pleasure.
